Skippy the Bunny

2004 – 2007

This is my memorial page dedicated to the best partner any magician could ever expect to have. Throughout the years I have had several good bunnies, like Bubbles, and Sparky, and Sparkles, but Skippy the Bunny was my very best one of all.  It all started for me, working with Skippy, when I dropped by the local breeder after Sparkles left us, and it was love at first sight, Skippy was going home with me, and there was not a question about it in my mind, he was to be my next assistant! Now because of his size, Skippy was a rather large bunny but most standards, but he was such a quiet and calm  animal,  it was worth the extra strain on my back. (He really was very heavy) So because of his size, I could not use the standard “Bunny Type Appearance and Disappearance Tricks” that I had already, so I had to go out and buy all new ones at great expense to me, which at the time was a large burden to the family, but it is worth it when you get the unrelenting love from your pet, it makes all the difference in the world, I know it did for me! Sadness, that is all I can call it, sadness, when one September morning, while bringing Skippy his breakfast to his bunny hutch, we found an open door, a broken latch, and no Skippy. It was later, that a wild coyote was trapped in the neighborhood, who had apparently been making the rounds, consuming any pet left outdoors at night. I made a promise that very day, that I would never work with another bunny ever again. R.I.P. Skippy!
